Wind advisory affecting Central Douglas County until Sunday morning

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Central Douglas County at 12:11 p.m. on Friday, which was in effect from 10 p.m. until Sunday at 10 a.m.

As stated by the meteorological service, “Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph expected.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. There could be a few power outages and tree branches being blown down. According to the weather service, exposing exposed skin to these temperatures will result in frostbite and hypothermia. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. As much as possible, keep pets inside.
