How are Toya & Reginae related?
Toya Johnson-Rushing and Reginae Carter, a mother-daughter team, are somewhat influential. Reginae is the daughter of Toya, the ex-wife of renowned hip-hop artist Lil Wayne. At the age of 15, Toya gave birth to Reginae, while Lil Wayne, her former boyfriend, was just 16. They were married on February 14, 2004, a few years after Reginae was born and Lil Wayne became a household name in the entertainment business. However, the marriage didn’t survive, and the couple split up in January 2006. Even though Toya and Lil Wayne eventually got divorced, they still got along well and co-parented their kid.

Following the lives of Toya Johnson-Rushing and her daughter Reginae Carter, the Toya & Reginae series has been a huge hit reality TV program for We TV since its premiere.
