As it assembles its 2025 roster, Oregon signed six transfers last month and is targeting a number more.
Purdue security In December, UO signed Dillon Thieneman, USC defensive tackle Bear Alexander, Texas State offensive tackle Alex Harkey, Nevada offensive tackle Isaiah World, Northwestern cornerback Theran Johnson, and Louisville tight end Jamari Johnson. Thieneman seemed to travel to Los Angeles to practice for the Rose Bowl with the Ducks.
Chris Hampton, the defensive backs coach, said of Thieneman, who led the Boilermakers with 104 tackles (4.5 for loss) and seven pass breakups this season, “I think he’s got some experience in this conference.” He performed at a very high level. had over 100 tackles for two consecutive years and six interceptions as a freshman. In my opinion, he contributes a great deal to the team in terms of experience, playmaking ability, ball abilities, and tackling ability. He has a great future with us, in my opinion.
The Ducks’ secondary, which is losing its top three cornerbacks, gains a plug-and-play addition in Theran Johnson. This season, he recorded 53 tackles (3.5 for loss), 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions.
Hampton mentioned another player who has performed admirably in the conference. He can play the ball well. He’s an excellent man-to-man cover man. Willing tackler with excellent long speed and short area quickness. He has experience playing at a high level, and I believe he will be a great addition to our team as well.

After Ajani Cornelius left and Josh Conerly Jr. has not yet made his NFL draft choice, World and Harkey provide Oregon two seasoned offensive tackles.
Harkey ranked 21st nationally among offensive tackles with an 81.8 run blocking grade and an overall 83.0 rating from Pro Football Focus. World’s pass blocking grade was 82.3 (34th) and their overall grade was 70.0 (156th among tackles).
According to offensive line coach Alique Terry, “you got two game-changers in the sense that they were high caliber players where they were.” It’s a little bit of Ajani; having talented players throughout the nation does nothing but benefit our team. Having two men who are excellent players is fantastic. Texas State was where Harkey killed. At Nevada, the world murdered it.
Those people were clearly capable of playing at this level when you turned on their tape, but the circumstances may have been COVID or they may have been graduating from high school. Regarding the blessing, it’s good what the portal has done so far. Those men who could have slipped through the cracks early in their process now have a chance.

It was necessary for Oregon to add a tight end because Terrance Ferguson and Patrick Herbert were both going on. Jamari Johnson is a former four-star prospect who still has three years of eligibility left. In seven games this season, the 6-foot-5, 258-pound Johnson caught 13 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown.
According to tight ends coach Drew Mehringer, “he was a kid that was really highly recruited out of high school that we wanted.” I’m so happy he’s here. He’s huge. did a fantastic job of developing his athleticism and modifying his body over his first two seasons at Louisville. You can go watch him hurdle a guy in high school; he runs great. has excellent ball-catching skills.
Perhaps the largest hands of anyone I’ve ever met, to be honest. It will surprise you by engulfing you when you shake his hand. Kenyon (Saidq) is going to receive a great complement. Given that Roger (Saleapaga) is now injured, it will take him some time to recover and grow. Roger is on pace to become an extremely talented player here. In addition to being a fantastic player here, Jamari will also aid in closing that deficit.
Alexander was a disruptive sophomore with 48 tackles (6.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks, and four pass breakups, but he only had four tackles in three games before leaving USC early this season. The Ducks needed a nose tackle with pass rush abilities because Derrick Harmon and Jamaree Caldwell had not yet made their decisions for the upcoming year.
According to defensive line coach Tony Tuioti, “we definitely wanted to get a veteran guy there to help us.” Terrance Green, we are extremely thrilled with what A Maui Washington has accomplished for us this year. However, based on his experience and abilities, Bear is a player who can play the run and contribute pass rush value to our needs. That’s what we’re most enthusiastic about.
