Though the two have managed to create a few huge plays this season, the Bo Nix to Troy Franklin connection hasn’t been as effective in the NFL as it was for the Oregon Ducks.
During Monday Night Football’s Broncos game against the Cleveland Browns, the rookie quarterback made a terrific play with the rookie wide out. Late in the second quarter, Nix and Franklin made a catch-and-run connection that lasted 23 yards. Nix rolled to his right and appeared to be about to run on a first-and-10 from the Cleveland 24. Before being tackled at the 1-yard line, Franklin rushed down the field after he pulled up and threw a short ball to him.

Two plays later, the Broncos took a 14–10 lead. Up to that point in the game, Franklin’s only reception was the catch.
