At 2:25 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for the Grande Ronde Valley that would be in force until 1 p.m.
According to the meteorological service, “South winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.”
“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful.
