The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for Eastern Curry County, Josephine County, and Jackson County on Wednesday at 5:53 p.m., which will remain in force until Thursday at 4 a.m.

“South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph,” the weather service comments. “In eastern Curry and Josephine counties, winds will be highest over the coastal mountains. Tonight and late tonight, winds will be highest south of Medford.

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful.
