“Northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected,” the weather service said. “Winds will first become gusty at exposed locations in the higher terrain tonight, then will be strongest across the area during Saturday afternoon and evening.”
“Prolonged exposure to wind chill values can result in hypothermia. Hypothermia can result from prolonged exposure to extremely low temperatures. Unsecured objects will be blown around by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, “a few power outages may result and tree limbs could be blown down.” “As much as possible, keep pets inside. Be careful when you’re outside. Put on gloves, a hat, and clothes that are acceptable. Driving in such severe winds can be challenging, particularly for cars with a prominent profile. Be especially careful.
