Update: Wind advisory affecting Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County until early Saturday evening

At 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for Northern and Eastern Klamath County, Western Lake County, and Central and Eastern Lake County that would be in force until 4 p.m.

We may expect “South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph,” the weather service said. “Winds will be strongest over and just east of Summer Rim between Paisley and Summer Lake, along the Warners, and near and at the ridges elsewhere.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. The weather agency says that there may be a few power disruptions and the possibility of tree branches being blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful.
