At 9:55 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for Jackson County that was in force until 8 p.m.
“Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph,” the weather service reports. “As breezes build this morning, fog conditions should improve. However, satellite photography does not now show clearing.
“Driving conditions could be dangerous due to low visibility. Unsecured objects will be blown around by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. “If you’re driving, use your headlights, slow down, and give yourself plenty of space. Driving in such severe winds can be challenging, particularly for cars with a prominent profile. Be especially careful.
