Update: Air stagnation advisory issued for Oregon until Thursday midday

In the Klamath Basin, Northern and Eastern Klamath County, Western Lake County, Central and Eastern Lake County, Jackson County, Curry County Coast, Central Douglas County, Eastern Curry County, and Josephine County, the National Weather Service issued an updated air stagnation advisory on Wednesday at 12:59 a.m. that will remain in effect until Thursday at noon.

According to the weather service, “A strong inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface will trap pollutants possibly leading to poor air quality.”

The weather agency says, “People with respiratory problems may experience problems due to poor air quality.” “Persons with respiratory illness should follow their physicians advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air.”

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
