At 1:01 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued an updated air stagnation advisory for the South Central Oregon Coast that would remain in place until Friday at noon.
The air quality will remain poor, according to the weather agency. An inversion and stagnant air near the surface are to blame for this, as they will continue to trap pollutants.

When it comes to handling high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air, people with respiratory illnesses should heed their doctors’ instructions.
