Chicago’s Grand Crossing neighborhood was the site of another tragic shooting, where three individuals were struck by gunfire, leaving one in critical condition.
The incident occurred on a Wednesday evening near the 7600 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. According to police reports, the victims were standing outside when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
The critically injured victim, a 30-year-old man, was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
The other two victims, aged 23 and 26, were also taken to nearby hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition. Authorities are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made as of yet.
