Trail Blazers release injury updates ahead of game at Rockets

Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (illness) and guard Anfernee Simons (sprained right wrist) are available for Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets at 5 p.m.

Center Deandre Ayton (right index finger) and guard Scoot Henderson (left quad contusion) are not playing.

During the third quarter of Wednesday’s defeat at Oklahoma City, Henderson sustained an injury. Ayton did not play in the team’s previous four games.

After missing three games due to illness, Simons is making a comeback. Prior to Wednesday’s game against the Thunder, he was labeled as questionable due to a sprained wrist and did not participate.
