Officials said Friday that the small Corbett School District, located east of Portland, will attempt to close a significant budget deficit by cutting expenses and terminating ten staff members.
In an effort to close the gap, which represents almost one-fifth of the district’s $20 million yearly budget, Superintendent Derek Fialkiewicz announced that the district will lay off three teachers, three administrators, and four classified employees.
