A disturbing incident in Oriole Park has left a 16-year-old boy hospitalized with serious injuries after being assaulted by three of his childhood friends, who subsequently struck him with a car before fleeing the scene. According to Block Club Chicago, the attack occurred late at night on July 5 in the 7300 block of West Gregory Street.
Police reports indicate that the victim suffered a broken jaw and punctured lungs as a result of the assault and vehicular impact. He was promptly transported to Lutheran General Hospital and is currently recovering in stable condition, as confirmed by Alderman Anthony Napolitano (41st).
Ald. Napolitano expressed deep concern over the incident, describing it as a distressing situation that no parent should have to endure. He emphasized the community’s hope for the victim’s swift recovery and stressed the importance of justice being served in this case.
