A 15-year-old boy was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday evening in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. Police were alerted to the situation by a gunshot detection system around 5:41 p.m. in the 7100 block of South King Drive.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the teenager and immediately transported him to Comer Children’s Hospital. Despite their efforts, the young victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. At the time of the report, his identity had not been released.
