Teen and Adult Hospitalized After Scott County Collision

A serious crash occurred in Scott County on Thursday, July 27, involving a pickup truck and a van on Missouri Highway 77. The accident took place shortly before 3:45 p.m., about one mile south of Benton. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the driver of the van failed to yield at an intersection, leading to a collision with the truck.

The crash resulted in significant injuries for a 15-year-old female passenger in the truck, who was airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis.

The van’s driver, 47-year-old Anthony S. Dunivan, was also seriously injured and transported to a hospital in Cape Girardeau. The truck’s driver, 52-year-old Torey S. Gosehe, escaped unharmed. All individuals involved were reported to have been wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.
