Some Providence nurses express misgivings over tentative deal to end strike

The greatest health care strike in Oregon history may extend into a fifth week as some striking Providence nurses were unwilling to accept the tentative labor agreement agreed with the health system this week.

According to a number of nurses who spoke to The Oregonian/OregonLive, they intend to vote against the contract proposal because it does not adequately address patient safety, systemic understaffing, or demands for pay and benefits.
