Snowfall, slick roads cause area school delays, bus route changes Tuesday

Has the opening hour for your school been postponed on Tuesday?

It’s feasible, particularly if you reside in one of the higher elevation counties, such as Cowlitz, Clark, or Clackamas.

In a number of locations, districts are postponing the start of the school day by an hour or more due to snowfall and hazardous roadways. There will be detours on several bus routes.

The following schools will open later on Tuesday: Rainier, Castle Rock, Longview, and Scappoose. As of Tuesday morning at 6 a.m., Kelso schools are closed and appear to be the only district doing so.

Banks and Newberg schools are among the other districts that have significantly altered their bus routes.

Remember that early Wednesday morning is predicted to bring winter weather. Tomorrow, we might be going over all of this in further detail.
