Semi-truck crash closes I-5 north ramp to I-405 Wednesday

Update at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday:The crash has been resolved. The ramps are all open now.

Early on Wednesday morning, Portland Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene of a semi-truck rollover collision on the ramp leading from Interstate 5 northbound to Interstate 405 traffic.

Crews reported the truck dumped debris onto the freeway in a tweet at around 6:30 a.m.

Traffic in both directions was at a standstill as the Oregon Department of Transportation closed both I-5 ramps to I-405 northbound.

In an advisory sent at 9:15 a.m., ODOT stated that the cleanup and retrieval of the vehicle might result in a permanent closure of the roadway.

Other freeways and local streets are delayed because of the incident, and traffic on I-5 will have to continue north or south without taking the I-405 exit.

No injuries were recorded.
