Sunday is comparable, with a high of around 43 and a low of about 30 at night.

Officials from Washington County responded by announcing that emergency overnight shelters will be opened on Saturday.Multnomahand-Clackamas County has warming facilities during the day but does not provide overnight shelters on Saturdays.

Further down the valley, in Corvallis and Eugene, where a severe fog advisory is still in effect and visibility is only a quarter of a mile, the fog hasn’t lifted.

Many Portlanders may begin to worry about the prospect of snowfall given the low temperatures, but the extended forecast shows no systems carrying precipitation. Through the end of next week, there should be generally clear sky, according to the weather service.
