Roger Goodell says NFL could have an international Super Bowl if league expands

NEW ORLEANS If the NFL grows to include an overseas team, Commissioner Roger Goodell stated that the organization may host a Super Bowl outside of the US.

With games in England, Germany, Mexico, and Brazil in recent years, as well as one in Spain in 2025, the NFL has made a significant effort to increase its global presence.

However, NFL stadiums have hosted the Super Bowls thus far, and foreign locations have not been taken into consideration.

There is a chance that we will eventually have a franchise abroad, in my opinion. “I wouldn’t be surprised if a Super Bowl was played there after we do,” Goodell added.

The broadcasters headquartered in the United States would face time zone issues if the Super Bowl were to take place outside of North America.
