Rockford Police Arrest Second Suspect in Haskell Avenue Shooting

Rockford, Illinois – Rockford Police have confirmed the arrest of Timothy Chatman, 42, in connection with the tragic killing of Marquell Reddic, 29, on June 26th. The incident occurred on Haskell Avenue, where police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 6:11 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene in the 1000 block of Haskell Avenue, officers discovered Reddic critically injured from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Following intensive investigation, authorities identified Eric Townsend, Sr., 51, and Timothy Chatman, 42, as primary suspects involved in the crime. Both individuals have been formally charged with First Degree Murder and are currently in police custody.

Additionally, law enforcement officials are actively seeking Tyree Anderson, 23, in connection with Armed Robbery related to Reddic’s death. Anderson remains at large, and authorities urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.
