Rockford Man Faces Charges for Meth Delivery Following Court Absence

Rockford Police apprehended Thu De, 27, on charges of delivering methamphetamine after a surveillance operation conducted by Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Narcotics Unit.

According to reports from July 8th, authorities were monitoring a residence in the 1900 block of South 5th Street in search of De, who had an outstanding court appearance. During the surveillance, officers observed De exiting a back alley onto 18th Avenue and knocking on a door along South 5th Street, as detailed in court records.

Upon arresting De, law enforcement officers discovered 24.5 grams of methamphetamine in his possession, police sources confirmed.

De now faces charges of methamphetamine delivery.
