According to a social media post from the Salem Police Department, a gunshot incident involving a Salem police officer and another individual took place on Wednesday.
Around 12:30 p.m., police declared that River Road, close to the Keizer border, between Liberty Street and Plymouth Drive, was closed.
Whether anyone was hurt or taken into custody was not disclosed by officials. There was no further information provided by them.
