Zenith Energy stores its oil in the Critical Energy Infrastructure (CEI) Hub and runs oil trains through Portland. If you don’t know, those big tanks on the Willamette River, directly below Forest Park, are part of the CEI Hub.

(State smacks Zenith Energy with $372K fine, requests city review land-use approval, Dec. 6) Zenith was recently fined by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and told to return to Portland City Council for a new Land Use Compatibility Statement. I think our newly elected representative government, which takes office on January 2, should be in charge of the following steps of the review process.
