Readers respond: A welcome community in Hillsboro

The Nueva Esperanza housing project in Hillsboro is a short walk from where I live, and I am thrilled to see the fresh life these neighbors are bringing to the neighborhood (the Housing Project in Hillsboro boasts cultural resources, but few residents will take advantage of them, Nov. 13). It’s possible that some aspects of the project were poorly planned, and that some of its occupants don’t match the expectations of public authorities from a few years ago. I would love to see a thousand flawed neighborhoods like Nueva Esperanza in my backyard and around the area, but I don’t anticipate perfection in my own home or anybody else’s.
