The Quad City Animal Welfare Center is hosting two educational events on Saturday, July 20th, aimed at engaging families in animal welfare activities. These events are open to everyone without prior registration, making it easy for families to join.
The first event, the Wags & Tales Reading Event, will take place at The Atlas Collective in Moline, IL, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A team member from the Quad City Animal Welfare Center will read “Not My Cat” by Stacey Patton and “Let’s Get a Pup! Said Kate” by Bob Graham. Attendees will enjoy these stories and have the chance to meet a shelter animal. There will be coloring pages for kids and informational materials about the shelter and clinic services available for families. Families are encouraged to bring donations from the Quad City Animal Welfare Center’s Wish List, which can be found at https://qcawc.org/donate/wish-list.
In the afternoon, from 2-4 PM, the QCAWC Kids Crafting Day will be held at the Quad City Animal Welfare Center Education Center in Milan. This event invites young artists, accompanied by an adult if under 16, to make enrichment toys for shelter animals and participate in other crafts.
