The 2025 Puppy Bowl will be televised live on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max, and Discovery Plus on Sunday, February 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET. It promises three hours of rough action. If you do not have cable, you may still watch Puppy Bowl XXI for free using either Philo or Fubo.

What are the teams for Puppy Bowl 2025? Will all the puppies be adopted?
Team Fluff’s Labrador Retriever Abigail, Team Ruff’s Boston Terrier Trio, Team Fluff’s Pekingese Smoosh, Team Ruff’s Doberman Pinscher Maxx, and numerous other canines are among the participants in Puppy Bowl XXI.
Actually, 80 shelters and rescues from two states and two countries have sent 142 puppy players to compete. The Puppy Bowl will include stories about the value of adopting animals in addition to the action.
Dan Schachner, the referee at the Puppy Bowl, is returning to oversee the tournament. Along with the Lombarky trophy, the Puppy Bowl will also recognize the Most Valuable Puppy (MVP) and the Underdog Award winner, which, according to press materials, will be given to the dog that most surprises viewers with an exceptional performance.
Some special needs dogs will also be included at the 2025 Puppy Bowl, such as Sprinkle, an Australian Shepherd-mix who is blind and hard of hearing, and Jolene, an American Pit Bull Terrier-mix who competes in a wheelchair.
A Super Bowl-related celebration wouldn’t be complete without some show business glitz and glamour, which this year is provided by James Gunn, the writer and director of the upcoming film Superman. During the game, Gunn will give a speech accompanied by his dog, Ozu, who reportedly served as inspiration for the portrayal of Superman’s dog, Krypto, in the Superman film.
The Kitty Halftime Show will once more feature some feline companions, even if dogs will have their day at the Puppy Bowl.
