Providence Health & Services in Oregon declared that it was prepared to resume negotiations with the striking nursing teams at six of its hospitals, four days into the worst strike in the state’s history.
Beginning early last Friday, over 150 physicians and advanced practitioners, together with nearly 5,000 Providence nurses, went on indefinite leave. The six women’s clinics in the Portland metro region and all eight Providence hospitals in the state are impacted by the strike.
