The largest health care strike in Oregon may come to an end if workers agree to a tentative contract that hospitalists and palliative care doctors at Providence’s largest hospital in Oregon signed with the health system late Wednesday.
The agreement must be ratified by the doctors at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, as well as the 5,000 hospital nurses who made a separate agreement the day before. The vote was scheduled to start Thursday and end by Friday at 4 p.m.
