Providence health care strike reaches third week with no resolution

Providence Health & Services and its unionized employees remain at a standstill as the biggest health care strike in Oregon history enters its third week.

Earlier this month, over 150 physicians and advanced practitioners, as well as nearly 5,000 Providence nurses, went on indefinite leave. Employees at six women’s clinics in the Portland metro region as well as all eight Providence hospitals in Oregon are on strike.
