Portland Winterhawks

On their road trip in the Eastern Division, the Portland Winterhawks aim to win three games in a row. Despite not playing at their best, they defeated the Regina Pats 7-3 on Saturday with relative ease. Diego Buttazzoni and Kyle Chyzowski both had two victories.

They are currently ranked fifth in the Western Conference and seventh overall in the Western Hockey League. They are four points ahead of the Vancouver Giants and Tri-City Americans, who are tied for sixth place, and four points behind the Victoria Royals, who are in fourth place.

The Winterhawks are the only team with a negative even-strength goal differential and a negative shooting difference among the top 10 WHL teams. However, the even-strength goal differential has been slowly improving and is currently 16th at -20.

For Portland, four is the magic number. They are 21-3-0-1 when they score four goals or more. They are 2-11-2 when they score three points or less.
