The Portland Timbers confirmed Tuesday morning that they will be going to California to play in the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational.
From February 5–15, the Timbers will participate in the preseason competition at the Empire Polo Club alongside 13 other Major League Soccer teams. For the third year in a row, the Timbers are taking part in the event.
Portland will play the Chicago Fire FC on February 8 after opening the competition against St. Louis City FC on February 5. After that, on February 12, the Timbers will play San Diego FC, an expansion team, and on February 15, they will play Charlotte FC to end the campaign.
The public is welcome to attend, and on December 18 at 2:00 p.m., tickets for every exhibition match will go on sale. Atcoachellavalleyinvitational.com is the PT website.
