The Portland Thorns will play the Kansas City Current on the road to start the regular season for the second consecutive year.
The Thorns will begin a 26-game NWSL campaign through November 2 with the game on Saturday, March 15. The Thorns will play two home games and one away game against each of the league’s other 13 teams.
The Thorns will welcome Angel City at Providence Park on Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m. for Portland’s home opener.
Sam Coffey and Sophia Smith of the U.S. women’s national team, as well as internationals Mackenzie Arnold, Jessie Fleming, Marie Mller, Isabella Obaze, and Hina Sugita, are among the 17 players who rejoin the Thorns from the previous campaign. Daiaine, Sam Hiatt, Pietra Tordin, and Jayden Perry are new players for 2025.
