Portland sees frosty mornings through the week, partly sunny skies Monday

As high pressure re-builds across the Pacific Northwest, Portland is expected to experience dry weather with cold mornings this week, at least until Wednesday night.

For a large portion of the week, the National Weather Service predicts that low temperatures in the Willamette Valley will be extremely close to freezing every night. Currently, there is a 60–70% chance that lows will fall below 32 through the weekend.

Highs during the day will remain in the upper 40s, which is about typical.

Early on Monday, Portland will experience widespread frost before high temperatures rise to roughly 45 degrees. Partially bright skies and steady winds are forecast.

Under largely cloudy skies, frost will reappear tonight and continue to remain until Tuesday morning. With a high of roughly 46 degrees, the afternoon should bring some sun breaks.

You guessed it. On Wednesday, there will be another icy morning before a mostly bright day. The temperature will rise to roughly 49 degrees.

A very weak front may move north of the metro area on Thursday, according to extended prediction models. At some point on Thursday, this might bring a brief shower to the region. Snowfall is unlikely because the afternoon high will be around 46.

As we go near the weekend, the weather turns dry once more once that front moves through.
