As catastrophic wildfires continue to scorch Southern California, the Portland Public Schools Board of Education is offering assistance to educators in Los Angeles.
At a board meeting on Monday, Superintendent Kimberlee Armstrong announced that the Portland district would ship roughly 2,000 of its portable air purifiers to California to purify the air in classrooms throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District. The district has been requesting donations for this purpose.
