Another request for more pay has been made for a film that is being filmed in Portland, and this time, punks are the subject. Adam and the Backgrounds, a local business, is seeking punk actors for the film Out Come the Wolves.
Given that Out Come the Wolves is characterized in a Hollywood Reporter report as a thriller that draws inspiration from the punk rock band Rancid’s 1995 album of the same name, the punk emphasis makes sense.
The Hollywood Reporter has provided the following plot synopsis: Wolves is a tale of perseverance and aspirations in a violent and desperate world, set against the backdrop of the East Bay punk music scene in the mid-1990s.
According to the synopsis, the cast includes actors Orlando Norman, Spence Moore II, Heidi Grace Engerman, and Cassady McClincy Zhang. They portray a close-knit group of high school pals who are trying to flee the run-down city where they now reside. It’s not that simple to escape, though, when the streets are teeming with prophets and symbolic predators at every corner. The story, which follows the teenagers, will ask who escapes and who will be eaten when the wolves hunt.
Danny Peykoff is the director and Jason and Jamie Neese are the writers of Out Come the Wolves. According to the creators’ résumé, Peykoff served as executive producer on Horizon: An American Saga, the film project starring Kevin Costner from Yellowstone. Horizon: An American Saga is also produced by the Neese brothers.
In December, Out Come the Wolves is being filmed in the Portland metropolitan region. For additional information, anyone interested in being an extra is asked to click this link:
