ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a fatal shooting incident at the San Jose Restaurant parking lot. The incident occurred on June 16th at approximately 10:03 p.m., when police responded to reports of a disturbance among several individuals in the parking lot which escalated into gunfire.
According to officials, the altercation resulted in two men sustaining life-threatening gunshot wounds. Victor Ballesteros, aged 40, tragically succumbed to his injuries. Another victim, a 19-year-old male, remains in critical condition following the incident.
In their efforts to apprehend the perpetrator, Rockford Police have released images of the suspect and urge anyone with information to contact the Rockford Police Department immediately.
