Chicago police are actively searching for a man who is suspected of robbing women while riding a bicycle in two neighborhoods on the city’s South Side. The police have released a video of the suspect in an effort to gather more information and locate him.
According to the police, the suspect has been involved in a series of robberies where he approaches female victims, threatens them by claiming he has a gun, and then steals their belongings. The robberies have been reported in the Kenwood and Grand Boulevard neighborhoods.
The suspect is linked to four separate incidents that occurred at different times and locations:
- On June 30, 2023, at around 10 p.m., in the 800 block of East 47th Street.
- On July 7, 2023, at approximately 10:10 p.m., in the 4700 block of South Ellis Avenue.
- On July 12, 2023, at around 5:30 p.m., in the 4700 block of South Woodlawn Avenue.
- On July 13, 2023, at about 4:30 p.m., in the 4900 block of South Langley Avenue.
So far, no additional details about the robberies have been made public. The Chicago Police Department is continuing to investigate these incidents, and they are seeking help from the public to find the suspect. The release of the video is part of their efforts to identify and apprehend him.
