Kimo Henriques, 43, of Vancouver, was identified by police as the man shot and killed at a motel in Northeast Portland on November 20.
Henriques was shot and found by police in the Quality Inn parking lot close to the 8200 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard. They say he later passed away in a hospital.
Police have not disclosed any additional details, however they claimed to have arrested one person on the day of the shooting.
Sgt. Kevin Allen, a police spokesperson, declined to comment on Thursday.
Early on Wednesday, a second guy was discovered in the parking lot of the same motel after being shot and died there. Allen stated that there is no connection between the shootings.
