Chicago police have detained a person of interest following the discovery of a 19-year-old found dead inside a South Side home on Sunday afternoon.
The victim, who suffered a head injury, was found unresponsive in a residence on the 6900-block of South Oglesby Avenue in the South Shore area around noon.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The gender of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, according to police.
The individual taken into custody is currently awaiting charges as Area One detectives continue their investigation.
