The coaches and media of the conference selected him and left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. to the first team all-Big Ten. The media, but not the coaches, selected outside linebacker Matayo Uiagalelei, who leads the Big Ten with 10.5 sacks, for the first team defense.
The second team recipients are linebacker Bryce Boetccher, running back Jordan James, and receiver Tez Johnson. The coaches select Uiagalelei for the second team, while the media selects defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, cornerback Jabbar Muhammad, and right tackle Ajani Cornelius. The coaches selected both Harmon and defensive end Jordan Burch on the third team.
