The Federal Bureau of Prisons stated last week that Colette S. Peters, the longstanding director of Oregon’s prison system who was appointed to lead the agency, had been removed.
In 2022, Peters assumed leadership of the federal agency after ten years as director of the Oregon Department of Corrections.
