Oregon State receiver Trent Walker plans return to Beavers for 2025 season

With receiver Trent Walker announcing he will return to Corvallis for his senior season, Oregon State is keeping one of their football stars from this season.

“Let’s run it back, Beaver Nation,” Walker posted on social media on Monday. According to a number of people who spoke to The Oregonian/OregonLive, Walker recently had a fruitful conversation with Oregon State’s collective, Dam Nation, on opportunities for name, image, and likeness.

Walker, a Beaverton High alumnus, recently concluded one of OSU’s finest receiving seasons. Walker equaled James Newson (2003) for eighth place in school history with 81 passes caught. Since Isaiah Hodgins’ 1,171 receiving yards in 2019, Walker’s 901 receiving yards were the most for an OSU receiver.

Walker tied for tenth place among FBS receivers this season with 81 receptions.

After enrolling as a walk-on at OSU in 2021, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Walker gradually gained playing time, first on special teams and then as a reserve receiver in 2023. Walker immediately became the team’s best receiver in 2024. Twice, he reached double figures (12 against Washington State and 11 against San Jose State), and he had at least seven receptions in seven games.
