Quarterback for Oregon StateThe 6-foot senior Gevani McCoy is leaving the Northwest to transfer to Texas State.
McCoy, who played for Oregon State in 2024 after spending three years at Idaho, declared on Monday that he will continue to play at the FBS level by joining the Bobcats.
Texas State won the First Responder Bowl on January 3 with an 8-5 record. The Bobcats, who are 4-3 this season, are members of the American Athletic Conference. With senior starter Jordan McCloud nearing the end of his eligibility, Texas State was looking for a quarterback.
