At Gill Coliseum, Oregon State responded forcefully to its first losing streak on Saturday night, defeating UC Davis 90-57 with a season-high score.
The Beavers won their easiest game of the season thanks to a season-high 25 points from Parsa Fallah, who made 11 of 14 shots, and 21 points and 11 rebounds from Michael Rataj.
Oregon State (5-2) made 8 of 14 three-point attempts and shot 60%, making 29 of 48 shots.
In an attempt to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to North Texas and Oregon, the Beavers defeated UC Davis, a formidable opponent that just defeated Grand Canyon to snap that school’s 18-game home winning streak.
UC Davis suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of OSU. The Beavers had 20 assists on 29 points and outscored the Aggies 40–17. In the paint, Oregon State scored 36 points.
At least seven points were scored by seven Beavers. Lelevicius Liutauras scored ten points. An all-time high of ten assists were distributed by Damarco Minor.
Connor Sevilla led UC Davis (3-4) with 14 points and four three-pointers.
Throughout the game, Oregon State never fell behind. Five minutes into the game, the Beavers had a 14-3 lead. OSU led 44-31 at the break and UC Davis scored no more than eight points in the first half. In the first half, Fallah scored 14 points and made 6 of 6 shots.
Before OSU took off, the Aggies lingered for the first seven minutes of the second half. Rataj’s lead grew to 22 points as he scored five points during a 12-2 run that put them ahead 56-44. A few minutes later, Oregon State had an 86-49 lead after scoring 18 points in a row.
