Melvin Jordan IV is on his way to the NCAA transfer portal, meaning Oregon State has lost its second inside linebacker in as many days.
Isaiah Chisomann stated on Friday that he was moving to the transfer portal, meaning the Beavers will lose both of their starting inside linebackers.
Jordan started and participated in 10 games this season as a redshirt sophomore with two years of eligibility left. Jordan finished third with 45 tackles, behind Chisom and safety Skyler Thomas.
Jordan is the ninth member of OSU’s 2024 roster who is considering a transfer. Along with Chisom and cornerback Andre Jordan Jr., he is one of three well-known defensive starters.
Dexter Foster and Aiden Sullivan are Oregon State’s top two inside linebackers now that Chisom and Jordan are gone. However, with so many inside linebacker prospects on the transfer portal, there are many possibilities. Jeremiah Ioane, a senior at Nevada High School, is an inside linebacker that the Beavers are adding from their 2025 signing class.
