Oregon State lands Lake Oswego running back LaMarcus Bell, the 2024 6A player of the year

When Lake Oswego running back LaMarcus Bell announced he would be joining the Beavers on Monday, Oregon State gained a commitment from a well-known in-state prospect.

Numerous schools, including BYU, California, Boise State, Washington State, and Illinois, made offers to the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Bell. Bell joins quarterback Deagan Rose of Clovis, California, as the second OSU commit for the recruiting class of 2026.

The Lakers lost to West Linn in the state championship game, which Bell, the 2024 Class 6A player of the year, led Lake Oswego to. Bell’s junior season with the Lakers saw him carry for 1,630 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Bell rushed for 262 yards and four touchdowns in a victory over Central Catholic in the 6A state quarterfinal.

On his shoulder, he places objects. He simply dominates the game. Earlier this year, Steve Coury, the coach of Lake Oswego, told The Oregonian/OregonLive, “He is incredible.”
