Oregon State fends off stubborn Washington State, wins its 10th consecutive home game

CORVALLIS Oregon State recovered from a nine-day hiatus, the bitter taste of a 38-point defeat, and a resolute Washington State to return to winning ways.

After overcoming a sluggish start, the Beavers held off foul-plagued Washington State for the majority of the second half before winning 82-74 Thursday night in front of 4,909 spectators at Gill Coliseum.
